Supernova Force

I love Kairosoft games and, inspired by them, I designed this little simulation game on a space battleship. I thought my paternity leave would be a good moment to kickstart this project, but being a dad is hard work (hasn’t gotten easier) and I didn’t move past the sketching stage. The game already works, if only in my head, and I decided the scope is too big for me to tackle right now.

Home For Christmas

In 2020 Socialpoint ran a new edition of its Game Jam. I felt like doing “something narrative” and I gathered a team of 2 writers, 2 programmers and me who dealt with the art. In 58 hours we put together a wonderful interactive story where you had to scramble your way back home in time for Christmas. Think of the journey of Kevin's mom in “Home Alone 2” …just more pixelated, and on LSD. I’m super happy with the result and it turned out super super fun. We also achieved the silver medal!

Miss Doggy 2010

This is not a videogame, but a little comic book project that I developed in 2 months. Inspired by the era of fanzine and punk comics, the project was deliberately crude and unpolished. There were a bunch of experiments with the layouts and writing in what turned out to be a confused mixture of topics. It was back then when I was living abroad, so I printed a bunch of copies and sent them to my friends overseas who received this awesome (if also weird) graphic novel.

Silly Adventures

When I was in college I was involved in a lot of… what do you call them? …silly adventures! There was a time when we pretended to be a theatre company and we ended up performing in a street festival in eastern europe. Another time we improvised a short movie on a weekend in front of a bluescreen, with no script, just to put it together in post-production with digital backgrounds and subtitles. We also hijacked the 40-anniversary historical exhibition of the faculty by adding panels with fictional events where we subtly appeared as protagonists. Stories listed here for its playful, unconventional nature… Fun times!

Bunny Panic

When I left college I started working in advertising. But what truly excited me was the upcoming release of a software called “Power Game Factory” which would allow me (in theory) to create a “Metal Slug” type of game with no coding. In anticipation of the release I created a bunch of 2D pre-rendered assets with cinema 4D and drew all the level designs in grid paper. But when I had the software in my hands, my poor Apple eMac could barely handle the application and the project never came to fruition. In any case I had a lot of fun daydreaming about it, and thinking that I could become a game developer someday.
